Derby Stars is Launching in Alpha: Get Ready to Race, Race, and Glory



The highly anticipated horse racing game Derby Stars is finally launching in Alpha on August 7th, 2023. The Alpha will feature a number of new and exciting features, including a revamped Training mechanic, a horse rental system, seasonal PvP tournaments, and a newly designed racecourse.

New Core System

One of the most notable new features in the Alpha is the new Core System. Cores are special items that can be equipped to horses to improve their stats. There are a variety of different Cores available, each with its own unique effects. For example, a Core with the "Stamina" effect will increase a horse's stamina, while a Core with the "Speed" effect will increase its speed.

Training Mechanic

The Training mechanic has also been revamped in the Alpha. Now, players can generate a special Core every 15 minutes of virtual training. These Cores can then be equipped to horses to improve their stats. In addition, players can now choose specific goals for their Cores. For example, a Training Goal could be "Win the G1 race more than X times," and upon completion, the Cores will be created with a new Power stat.

Horse Rental System

Derby Stars will also feature a horse rental system in the Alpha. This means that players who don't own any NFT horses will still be able to participate in the game. Horses from current holders will be prioritized for rental, but if the demand exceeds the supply, the system will create and reserve a set amount of "non-tradable horses" that can be rented out.

Seasonal PvP Tournaments

Seasonal PvP tournaments will also be a part of the Alpha. These tournaments will allow players to earn $RUN, the native token of the Derby Stars ecosystem. Each season will have its own characteristics, such as certain stats being more advantageous or the potential to earn more points on specific tracks.

New Racecourse

A newly designed racecourse will also be available in the Alpha. This racecourse is larger and more challenging than the previous one, and it will require players to use different strategies to win.
