Hong Kong International Airport Launch HKIA Metaverse



Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has launched the HKIA Metaverse, a virtual space designed to offer visitors an immersive airport experience. The Metaverse is accessible on the Ethereum-based virtual world Voxels, and visitors can explore four different areas, including the Departure Hall, Sky Bridge, boarding gate, and the inside of a plane. The experience is made in partnership with JCDecaux Transport Hong Kong, and visitors can play games in corresponding booths in the virtual environment and interact with other passengers using the platform.

Every day, visitors can explore the HKIA Metaverse to find hidden treasures and win the airport's first limited-edition NFT. The campaign will run from 6 July to 31 August 2023. The top ten players on the leaderboard will win the limited edition HKIA Metaverse NFT, with each player allowed one treasure per day. Users can collect hidden treasures which are distributed daily until August 31st.
